THE DESCRIPTION

All Box handlebars are designed and manufactured using our oversized technology. Handlebars serve a dual purpose as they contribute to both steering and pedaling stiffness. By strategically varying wall thicknesses and tube diameters, we moved material from 3 low stress areas to high load areas. This greatly minimized twisting and helped with responsiveness. At the same time, we have increased the rigidity of the pedaling by providing an anti-deflector to the “lifting” phenomenon. There's no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can't pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost due to handlebar deflection and the consequences can lead to poor power distribution and poor steering control. When combined with Box's other oversized components, you'll benefit from increased responsiveness and reduced latency.

Key Differences: This particular handlebar model takes our oversized technology to the extreme as it uses carbon fiber to pass through these tapered areas. Say goodbye to defection. These bars are designed for shorter runners.

All Box stems are designed and manufactured using our oversized technology. As we followed the load paths along the handlebars, we focused our attention on the stem-bar interface. Since oversized handlebars have increased wall thickness and tube diameter in this sector, we have returned the favor with an increased stem interface with greater surface area. We did this by moving material from low stress areas. This greatly minimized twisting and helped with responsiveness. As the stem is coupled to the handlebars, we have helped to increase pedaling rigidity by providing an anti-deflector to the “lifting” phenomenon. There's no point pushing hard on your pedals if you can't pull up on your handlebars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost due to handlebar-to-stem deflection and the consequences can be poor power and steering control. When combined with Box's other oversized components, you'll benefit from increased responsiveness and reduced latency.
